Lineage

Whilst Josh has studied numerous Qi Gong forms and styles, his introduction to the art and basis for his practice stems from the Hua Xian School of Zheng Yi Jiao, a Daoist tradition focused on health preservation, qi refinement and spiritual cultivation.

He has studied under the following teachers:

Yuan Hong Ming - 4th Generation Descendant of Master Hua.

Born in Henan province in 1948, Master Yuan began studying Qi Gong as a young child. He went on to study Western Medicine at Guangzhou Medical College before embarking on a long career in both Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine throughout Southern China.

Whilst his primary focus has been treatment of patients in the hospital system, Master Yuan maintained a small number of Qi Gong students to whom he passed on the traditions and techniques of his school.

Jian Feng Li - 5th Generation Descendant of Master Hua.

Master Jian began studying Kung Fu in Guangzhou in 1975, aged 12. As his Kung Fu practice progressed he became increasingly interested in the internal aspects of the Chinese Martial Arts and began studying Qi Gong under Master Yuan in 1982.

He went on to study acupuncture before immigrating to Sydney where he opened his acupuncture practice in 1995. Renowned for his innate ability to heal coupled with a boundless enthusiasm to help people, Master Jian assisted countless people over the years. He too, took on a small number of Qi Gong students. Josh was fortunate enough to study directly under Master Jian for 6 years.
